About This Event
Murphys Creek Theatre has designated all Preview Night proceeds from their production of Shakespeare’s Henry V starring Robbie Allen to benefit the Motherlode Martin Luther King Jr. Committee. The evening includes a 6:00 PM reception and 7:00 PM curtain, with tickets available at MMLK.org. Prince Hal sheds his reckless past and leads an outnumbered English army against France in Shakespeare’s thrilling portrait of leadership, courage, and the human cost of war. Set against a modern backdrop, Murphys Creek Theatre returns to its Shakespeare roots with one of the Bard’s most powerful history plays. Produced in tandem with MCT’s youth program Summer on Stage: The Mirror Project. Suggested for ages 9+, Depictions of war and battlefield tension. Murphys Creek Theatre runs out of 580 S. Algiers, just off Main, and puts on real productions in a small, intimate house where the seating actually works and there's coffee, wine, and snacks at intermission. It's kid-friendly for older kids (think 13 and up depending on the show), and they comp tickets for veterans, which is a nice touch.
