About This Event
What if your young actor didn’t just take a class……but stepped into a real production with the mentorship of professional actors? This summer, students join The Mirror Project at Murphys Creek Theatre, a one-of-a-kind program that gives young performers a rare look inside how professional theatre works. Each student is mentored by a member of the professional cast of Henry V and paired with the actor who is playing the same role in the mainstage production. Along the way, they gain insight into rehearsal, performance choices, and the craft of bringing Shakespeare to life. Then the spotlight turns.Mirror Project actors take the stage in their own fully staged youth production of Henry V on the same Murphys Creek Theatre mainstage.Think of it as a summer where young actors get to peek behind the curtain, learn from working professionals, and then step into the lights themselves.By closing weekend, they’re not just performing Shakespeare — they’re walking away with bigger confidence, stronger stage skills, and a story they’ll be telling for years. About Murphys Creek Theatre
Murphys Creek Theatre runs out of 580 S. Algiers, just off Main, and puts on real productions in a small, intimate house where the seating actually works and there's coffee, wine, and snacks at intermission. It's kid-friendly for older kids (think 13 and up depending on the show), and they comp tickets for veterans, which is a nice touch.
