About This Event
This October, Calaveras artists throw open their studio doors for two days of behind-the-scenes access. Grab a map (yes, an actual map, this is part treasure hunt, part gallery tour) and set out across Calaveras County. Follow the trail to meet the painters, potters, sculptors, and makers who call this place home, and learn about their creative processes. Can’t make it to every stop? Head to Native Sons Hall on Main Street in Murphys, where a curated show brings a taste of the whole crawl under one roof. And since Murphys never does anything halfway, the same weekend brings the town’s beloved Grape Stomp and Street Faire, expect a lively Main Street humming with live music and local wine, Leave with a piece of Calaveras you won’t find anywhere else. Hosted by the Calaveras Arts Council.

Where
About Native Sons Hall
Native Sons Hall sits right on Main in Murphys, with a wraparound porch that's prime real estate for watching the town go by. It's a small-event venue, weddings, fundraisers, the kind of thing where the third-Sunday breakfast is a known quantity for folks who pay attention. Parking on Main is what it always is on Main: tight, so plan to walk a block or two.
