Live Music - Neil Buettner
Live Music
Evening plans that don't require driving down the hill: live music, wine, and a show.
The usual recipe works: dinner in Murphys, then whatever's on that night. Some evenings that's a band at the Lube Room in Arnold, some it's music at a winery, and in summer it's often a show up at Bear Valley.
Everything below is an upcoming evening event in the live music, wine, fine arts, or festival lanes. Start times run mostly 5 to 7 up here; check the event page for details and the weather chip before you pick a patio.

The Watering Hole hosts a free weekly summer concert series on Thursday evenings from 5-7 pm, featuring local bands and rotating featured breweries on their outdoor lawn. Running from late May through October 2026.

Tarantula Hawk plays live at Lake Alpine Lodge, right across the road from the water up at 7,000 feet. Music starts at 6 p.m. The deck bar and restaurant are open, so settle in with a drink and a bite. No cover, and it's a gorgeous spot to catch a set.

A unique experience of Country Rock, Americana, and so much more. The Sky Kings is a classic Country Rock Americana band with a signature blend of clear vocal harmonies and lush instrumentation.

Poor Man’s Whiskey’s live show and sound are a blend of high octane old time/bluegrass music (often done on traditional acoustic instruments of banjo, guitar, fiddle, and mandolin) and a more psychedelic blues/jam rock style that calls upon their earlier influences such as Pink Floyd, Allman Brothers Band, and the Grateful Dead. Poor Man’s Whiskey seamlessly transitions between acoustic and electric styles with a carefully crafted commitment to well-written songs and stories…while maintaining an exciting element of improvisation and openness to letting a song expand. https://poormanswhiskey.com/ Opening will be Ten Dollar Pony, an indie folk-rock acoustic duo and band featuring original music alongside an eclectic mix of cover tunes. Their sound blends acoustic roots, folk, rock, and a little bit of everything in between. * Please note - Brice Station Tasting Room will close at 5 pm to open the bar for the concert
