About This Event

LOOKING FOR SOMETHING TO DO BETWEEN THE PARADE AND THE FIREWORKS? How about Shakespeare in an air-conditioned theatre? Yes, we realize there’s a certain irony in spending the Fourth of July with an English king. But Henry V isn’t really about England or France. It’s about a small band of leaders and ordinary people with passionate beliefs taking on impossible odds. Sound familiar? Join us for a special 2:00 PM Independence Day matinee of Murphys Creek Theatre’s acclaimed production of Henry V. Performed in the round for the first time in MCT history and starring Robbie Allen, this epic underdog story features sword fights, humor, stirring speeches, and one of Shakespeare’s greatest glow-up stories. As always, every performance at Murphys Creek Theatre is Pay-What-You-Can, making it easy to add a little Shakespeare to your Fourth of July weekend. This special Independence Day matinee is the second-to-last performance before the production closes on Sunday, July 5. HENRY V Final Weekend Performances: Friday, July 3 • 7:30 PM Saturday, July 4 • 2:00 PM • Independence Day Matinee Sunday, July 5 • 2:00 PM • Closing Performance No evening performance on July 4. 2 hours 15 minutes, including intermission TICKETS AND INFORMATION: www.murphyscreektheatre.org/henry-v

About Murphys Creek Theatre

Murphys Creek Theatre runs out of 580 S. Algiers, just off Main, and puts on real productions in a small, intimate house where the seating actually works and there's coffee, wine, and snacks at intermission. It's kid-friendly for older kids (think 13 and up depending on the show), and they comp tickets for veterans, which is a nice touch.
