Skull Country is Nicholas Lefler's Americana project out of Calaveras County, built around original songs about gold rush history, open roads, and small-town life. You'll find him at Stevenot Winery in Murphys playing his own tunes off albums like Wild and Free and The Widow.
About Stevenot Winery
Stevenot was founded in 1978 by Barden Stevenot, one of the pioneers of the modern Sierra Foothills wine scene, and sold to the Oliveto family in 2010. They're known for Old Vine Zinfandel, and the patio out in Vallecito gets bands on summer weekends. Dog-friendly and walk-ins welcome, which is the right combination for a Sunday afternoon.
